I'm not sure what the state law is concerning automatic recounts (I only live here), but I think it's obvious that with Larry Kissell within 0.003% this baby ain't over yet.

Go Larry!!

Boehner refuses to apologize for faulting generals

Look, I just gotta vent...I've been a loyal die hard democrat for years. I've worked on campaigns. I've given a lot of money. I've tried to do what I can when I can. I do enjoy the fact that more often than not, the dems like to act as if they are not ever willing to stoop down to the level of their opponents, however sometimes I like a good fight. We're not ever willing to fight about anything unless it on the issues, which is admirable, but it makes me feel like a "liberal pussy". Why don't we hold Boener's feet to the fire even more so than they did with Kerry? When we don't respond, we do nothing but enable these thugs. They think they can do it to us over and over and get away with it and we fall for it every damn time! Kerry made an appology for something he didn't really say about the troops, yet John Boehner can blame the troops and generals for the war going bad and we say nothing?! It's time for us to sack up and turn this bastard in to the story of the week. Here's the story link...

al-Zarqawi captured? Could this be the October surprise?

Kuwait's official news agency (KUNA) reported on Saturday that nine millitants including Abu Musab al-Zarqawi were captured by U.S. forces durring raids in Falluja on Friday. U.S officials have denied that Zarqawi had been captured. Could this turn out to be the October surprise we've been fearing?

Two missed opportunities

I thought John Kerry did a wonderfull job tonight. Although, I thought that Kerry missed two slam dunks that Bush left himself wide open on. The first was when Bush was asked "what do you say to someone in this country who has lost his job to someone overseas who`s being paid a fraction of what that job paid here in the United States?" His response was
"Here's some help for you to get an education..."
"Here's some help for you to go to a community college..."
"We want to help pay for you to gain the skills necessary to fill the jobs of the 21st century."
Now I don't know how many twenty year olds are losing jobs overseas, but I don't think it's realistic to expect a 50 yr. old man who just lost, not only his income, but his retirment to go back to college and learn a new skill!
The second opportunity was regarding the immigration question where Bush mentioned that there are less people coming over the border in Texas than when he was governer. Kerry should have replied "that's because you're not there anymore"
